A Vision for Irving
Stop gambling and billionaire special interests taking over our city. No amount of tax revenue is worth imperiling our culture, exposing the most vulnerable in our community to predatory interests, and planting the seeds for crime, addiction and vice. Sergio will not allow out of state billionaires to supplant our local sovereignty.
Bring transparency to City Hall. End the back-room deals and secret negotiations between city employees and the Chamber of Commerce that go against the will of the people. Sergio will be the advocate for all of Irving, not the elites and special interests.
Uphold and enforce quality and minimum safety and maintenance standards for apartment complexes. Apartments make up the majority of housing Irving. Sergio will work to improve living conditions, reduce the strain on public safety services from calls to rundown structures, and restore balance to Irving's housing market.
Be the voice for home ownership. Sergio will be the tough negotiator the City Council needs to push back against special interests and developers working to undermine our neigborhoods and community. Sergio will move Irving in the direction to promote more resident ownership and make it possible for residents to plant roots.
